OUR GRADUATING STUDENTS

Today marks another milestone in the history of the PENTECOSTAL INTERNATIONAL BIBLE SEMINARY (PIBS) as
we celebrate our 45th Graduation Ceremony. It’s with a heart full of gratitude to God that I welcome you all this day 6th June 2025, to this occasion.

I have no doubt in my mind that heaven is rejoicing as you graduate today as Ministers of the Present Truth. We are all aware of the challenges in our nation and the efforts you made to maintain high ethical, moral, spiritual and academic standards. We are particularly impressed by your high level of humility, discipline and resolve to uphold the high academic standards of our institution.

Our motto. “TO KNOW AND TO SERVE” had been the driving force and motivation to both the academic and non-academic staff. The standard set by our founding father must be upheld with all the grace made available by God Almighty.

The theme of this year’s graduation taken from 2 Pet. 1:1-12 is very timely because of where we are in God’s end-time calendar. The “Present Truth” no doubt refers to biblical Truths which are particularly relevant and significant for specific time and generation, highlighting God’s ongoing revelation and guidance of His people. The idea of “Present Truth”, then, is that God can give us insight to help us better understand his word and apply it to situations that might arise at any given time. But these “new truths” are always consistent with other truths in the Bible

It might be necessary to emphasize that truth is absolute. It is not relative as some claim. We are not at a place where we are claiming that your truth is not my truth. Whether you have your truth or not, there is only one Truth,”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever”
We make bold to declare as Paul an apostle said in Col. 1: 5-6, “which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the Truth about God’s wonderful grace”.

In the church of Jesus Christ, there are truths that become present by reason of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, by reason of the switching of the covenant and the priest. Sadly, today in the Body of Christ, Christians do not know the difference. That is why the Bible says that they err because they do not know the word and power of God. The Pentecostal International Bible Seminary works hard to deliver our students from this error.

The biggest problem of the church is that we do not understand the scriptures and power of God. The scripture gives power. That’s why the Bible calls it the word of His power; the word always precedes the manifestation of the power of God. Today, we have Christians who want to demonstrate the power of God without His word. This is an error.

Our theme scripture shows that Peter is speaking to the church established in the present truth. The church in the present truth thinks differently from the church that is not established; one that responds to truth is no longer present or that is lower.

The Pentecostal “Present Truth” is Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. This must be understood. The Holy Spirit has something to say to this age just as he does in every age. He delivers the message by speaking to believers. This is what we do in Pentecostal International Bible seminary (PIBS). Always listen to God’s eternal and everlasting present truth.
